Sweet and sour potatoes:
Ingredients
1. Potatoes 1.5 kg around 6 medium
sized
2. Tomatoes 1 kg or 4 large
blended
3. Red chili powder 1tbsp
4. Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
5. Cumin zeera roasted grinded
1tsp
6. Turmeric haldi ¼ tsp
7. Coriander dhanya powder 1tsp
8. Chaat masala 1 tsp
9. Tamarind imli pulp half cup
10. Gurr / brown sugar 1 tbsp
11. Coriander half bunch for
garnish
12. Curry patta
13. Oil 2 tbsp
14. Salt 1 tsp
Method:
- Peel potatoes cut them into medium sized cubes and boil them. (boils quicker and potatoes don’t loose shape). keep these aside.
- In a wok add 2 tbsp oil add ginger garlic paste, fry till it gives aroma.
- Now add tomatoes puree and cook till it changes colour and water dries.
- Now add chaat masala red chili powder curry leaves, haldi and zeera cook for 3 minutes.
- Add the imli pulp and gurr/brown sugar and cook for a minute.
- Lastly add the potatoes, give it a good mix till the mixture coats the potatoes evenly.
- Garnish with fresh coriander
- Serve hot at tea time
