Rabri kheer
A kheer is
a sweet dish made up of rice and milk. It is one of the most common and most
traditional sweet eaten in Pakistan .
Ingredients:
1.
Basmati rice ½ cup
2.
Sugar 1 cup
3.
Milk 1 ½ l
4.
Almonds 100 g coarsely chopped (
around 8 to 10 soaked in water)
5.
Pistachio 100g coarsely chopped (
around 8 to 10 soaked in water)
6.
Cardamom powder half tsp
METHOD:
1.
Wash the rice, then completely dry
them. Then grind this rice into powder form set this aside.
2.
Pour milk in a sauce pan on low
flame. All the cooking for kheer will be on LOW FLAME.
3.
Now put the powdered rice into the
milk and keep stirring.
4.
Coarsely chop almonds and pistachios
and add into the milk. Continuously keep stirring the milk
5.
Put the cardamom powder and then add
sugar.
6.
Now keep stiring the milk
mixture until it is reduced . it will
start sticking on the spoon. Close the stove when its texture is thick.
7.
Pour in in bowl, serve chilled. Garnish
with almonds and pistachios
